“In the last 58 years I’ve gone through 7 bikes”. Since 1958, when Jack Perry moved from the old Township of Korah to Desbarats, he has always used his bikes to get him from place to place.

“ I’ve had two different jobs since I’ve moved to Desbarats. I’ve worked through the township doing road maintenance, and working at the local garbage dump, always taking my bike to work every morning”.

In the last couple years Jack has retired from his jobs, but has still kept biking a daily activity.

Now, every morning Jack rides his bike to the local gas station, 17 E Trading Post. “I love to come and visit the employees as well as talk to any locals that may be passing through”.

For some, biking is a hobby or a way get in your physical activity, but for Jack its a way of life.
