CASS History Club Returns from Europe

CASS History Club Returns from Europe
Eleven CASS students in the History Club got the chance of a lifetime to spend their March Break in Europe as winners of the Vimy Classroom Challenge Grand Prize. They’ve returned now and would like to share their photos, videos and stories with everyone.

The tour started in Amsterdam, and then on to the Netherlands, where they toured Anne Frank house. The students visited Canadian War Cemeteries in Belgium and spent time in the Vimy Region of France, stopping at the Vimy Memorial. While in the Normandy Region of France, they visited Juno Beach. Of course, a trip to Europe wouldn’t be complete without spending time in Paris France and London England.

The History Club invites everyone in the community to come out to a “Show & Tell” evening planned for this Thursday March 30th 7PM at the RC Legion in Richards Landing.  There will be 12 slide shows running throughout the hall, showing Canada’s battlefields and other landmarks they enjoyed visiting during their time in Europe. Favorite finger foods that were sampled on their travels will also be served with coffee, tea and punch for $10, tickets available at the door or from any History Club member.
