Huskies First Game at Home

Huskies First Game at Home

The CASS Hockey team hosted the St. Mary's Knights at the Thessalon Arena on Friday Nov. 9th in front of a large crowd of 200 plus fans.

The Huskies came out flat and did not recover from a slow start.  Down 3-0 after 7 minutes of play, the Huskies were in a deep hole that they couldn't battle back from.  Despite many close chances and several posts, the Huskies could not find the back of the net and surrendered 8 goals in a losing effort.

The CASS Hockey team would like to recognize the great fan turnout and thank everyone who came out, and also to those who contributed to the 50/50 draw.

It was the largest 50/50 draw in CASS Hockey home game history, totaling $614, with $307 going to the winner.  The proceeds of the 50/50 draw goes towards the hockey team's bus travel expenses, and the team is matching the proceeds with a donation to the Thomas Vine family.

Last night's winner, Ginette Valiquette, is also donating her winnings back to Thomas Vine.  The team is proud of the community efforts to help a local family in need.

Next home game action for the Huskies is Friday November 23rd at 730pm in Thessalon vs. the Superior Heights Steelhawks.
