On Friday November 22nd, the CASS Huskies Hockey team played the Superior Heights Steelhawks at 7:30pm at the Thessalon Memorial Arena.  In front of 230 fans in the stands, the hockey game was scoreless until the second period, with 6:44 left and the Steelhawks took the lead, on a goal by Tristian DuFour.

With 3 minutes left in the third period, both teams had a player in the penalty box, it was a 4 on 4 game.  Huskies number 11, Austin Mortimore tied the game with a wrap-around goal, with 2:06 left to go in the game.

As the clock expired, the teams were tied and needed to go to overtime.  Overtime started with 4 on 3 powerplay, as the Huskies still had a man in the penalty box.  The Steelhawks couldn't put the puck in the net as the Huskies killed the penalty and Chase Macintyre came back on the ice from the penalty box.  It was 4 on 4 until a whistle was blown.  When play resumed, it was 3 on 3, with MacIntyre, Mack Ableson and Austin Mortimore on the ice, rested from a time out called by the Huskies.

MacIntyre caught a long pass from Ableson and rushed down the ice on a 2 on 1 with Mortimore, faked a pass and scored blocker side on Steelhawks goaltender Zach Tarantini to win the game 2-1 in overtime.
