Sunday morning cross racers along with CASS Hockey players hit the trails for their annual fundraiser. Teacher Ray Gowlett set up a challenging course through the bush trail, playground, around the track and over a series of obstacles. Community support is strong for the team and the event raised about $3500 between sponsorship and participants. The hockey team came out sporting a wide variety of helmets for the race, including snowmobile, hunting, baseball, cycling, and of course a hockey helmet.

Sunday was the annual Mountain Maple Run/Walk in Jocelyn Township on St. Joseph Island, and even though the forecast called for rain, it was hot and sunny up on the mountain. Read more
